Sant Climent

This village is ideal for a family holiday, being an ideal place to taste the Minorcan gastronomy. This small village has been in existence for 200 years, so it can be very interesting to walk through its streets and feel the tranquillity of each inhabitant.

 

Sant Climent is located in Menorca within the Comarca of Mahón and is situated about 4 km. to the southwest of it. It was founded during the 14th century in the region of “Mussupta”, a label that has its origin in Arabic. Its 19th century church is situated at the entrance to the village, in the central square, and you should visit it in honour of San Clemente, after whom it is named during the festivities that take place at the end of August. Sant Climent is part of Menorca, and this island is known for its celebrations throughout the year, so you can’t miss the best of it.

 

Enjoy every corner of this beautiful village. Sant Climent is a very small village, mostly dedicated to agriculture, but it represents a surprising crossroads of cultures.
